 Account Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire, build and sustain long-term partnerships with current and potential clients in the pharma, biotech, and medical device industries
  • Serve as the main liaison for clients, comprehending their goals, needs, and challenges in depth
  • Establish strong rapport with clients in the medical and healthcare sectors while offering strategic advice and solutions customised to their specific needs
  • Work closely with clients to identify opportunities for business growth and service improvement
  • Actively seek and pursue new business prospects, creating and delivering proposals and pitches
  • Develop strategic communication plans with clients that align with their business and communication goals
  • Provide strategic input and suggestions based on industry trends and client needs
  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as medical writers, editors, designers, and project managers, to ensure the timely and effective delivery of projects
  • Track and report on project status, budget compliance, and quality indicators
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovations in medical communications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, project management, or business development in medical communications or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Communications, Business)
  • Experience in account management within a medical communication or healthcare-related industry
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Robust scientific knowledge and understanding of clinical research and medical writing
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Evidence of ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the healthcare and medical fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools
  • Willingness to travel as required
