About Jessica Page-Campbell
Whilst studying biology as an undergraduate at the University of Manchester, I undertook a final project which involved communicating the concept of the microbiome to an audience of young children. I achieved a 2:1 for my degree overall, but achieved a first in this particular project, which spurred me on to explore science communication further as an MSc. During my masters I developed a great enthusiasm for science communication, and strove to continue to feed this interest in the future.
After graduating, I began working as a lab scientist in a COVID-19 lab, to help with the pandemic effort. When my role at the lab closed, I resumed my search for a role more related to my MSc. I decided to apply for a job as a junior medical writer after having missed the written communication element in my previous job and was excited to venture into this area in a professional sense.
I thoroughly enjoy my role as a junior medical writer at Bham Pharma as my work spans a wide variety of materials for a range of therapeutic areas and audiences. This position has also enabled me to develop my written communication, confidence, and attention to detail, among other skills.
My main hobbies include reading, swimming, and watching films.
